Although it wasn't designed for it, that delicate shell does provide some considerable protection for its maker. Several times during this video we see fish trying to take a bite and clearly getting no more than a mouthful of hard shell: the fish swiftly retreats and as far as I can tell, doesn't come back. I've always been fascinated by both ammonites and Nautiluses since I first learned of them, and first encountered argonauts in Sir David Attenborough's Life on Earth when I was a child. There is just a couple of lines about them in the book, so getting to see video of them is a real treat.

You want to know what’s sad is this mamma octopus will do whatever it takes to defend her eggs and that includes not eating so she can be home defending her eggs. Because of that she will die from starvation to protect her babies and octopuses are very very smart animals. There are channels here on UA-cam where people have created a maze with areas of the maze with some type of puzzle for them to complete so they can move to the next obstacle which could be moving something blocking an entrance to another part of the tank or unscrewing a lid to move on. One guy did this and at the very end of the maze the octopus as treated to a feast of all you can eat shrimp buffet. He did this because he got the octopus as a pet but he wanted to release the octopus but was afraid to do so since he or she had been in captivity. When he saw the octopus win against the maze he kept his promise and released the octopus into their natural habitat!

Amazing footage! Those looks like large fish (do you know what kind?) the birds caught! The fish are struggling, but the hungry Cormorants manage to fully consume (alive?!) it all okay? It looked like the unlucky things go desperately kicking sliding down that long throat! I wonder, do the large fish stand any chance of escaping if eaten in that condition? Maybe they can turn around inside the elastic throat/stomach and has a chance of survival here.
